Heat Wave In Collingwood and The Blue Mountains

Well it’s another scorching hot day here in Collingwood but relief is on the way!

The high temperatures this week have sent many diving into the Bay or locking themselves inside with the air conditioning. It’s no wonder because this weather could make many people mistake Collingwood for the Caribbean! Temperatures reaching up to 35 degrees have been feeling more like 45 with the added humidity.

Heatstroke and other heat related health issues are a major concern this week. There are cooling stations located at the Collingwood Public Library, The Station Museum and the Eddie Bush Arena. If you’re just out of town, there is another location in Wasaga Beach at the Wasaga Stars Arena.

Thunderstorms are expected to roll in this evening and more comfortable temperatures are back tomorrow.
