Flood Potential

The weather office is forecasting up to 90 mm of mixed precipitation this week.

This along with the melting snow pack will cause water levels in our watercourses to rise, but no significant flooding is expected.

The public and especially children are advised to stay away from all area water bodies as unstable ice cover, fast cold flowing water and slippery banks will result in dangerous conditions.

The weather forecast is calling for 10 mm Tuesday, 10 mm Wednesday, 15 cm of snow Thursday and an additional 15-20 mm of rain Friday.

High water levels are expected to continue through the weekend.
