Fall Colour Report

The coming days will be your last opportunities to enjoy the fall colours in Collingwood and Blue Mountains .  This is definitely the time to get out and enjoy the fall before the season is giving way to snow and cold temperatures.

Simcoe County including Midland, Penetanguishene, Horseshoe Valley, Orillia, Barrie, Collingwood and the Town of the Blue Mountains are PAST PEAK… BUT… Compared to some other areas on Ontario, there is not as much leaf fall.  On a sunny day, especially along the escarpment in the Town of the Blue Mountains, the patches of red, yellow and orange show up beautifully against the backdrop of the evergreen stands especially looking up at the escarpment, and over Georgian Bay as pictured above.   On the scenic trails in the area, the blanket of fall leaves add significantly to the beauty of the forest, making hiking and cycling a wonderful way to enjoy the fall colour experience now.
