Blue Mountain Resort Remains Open for Skiing This Weekend

Thanks to cool spring temperatures, some more snow flurries in Collingwood and the Blue Mountains this week, and a thick snow base this winter, Blue Mountain Resort ski hills are still open this weekend – the latest the resort has ever been opened for skiing and snowboarding site the information was recorded starting in 1984.

Blue Mountain is reporting a 60-centimetre base and will open the Silver Bullet chair lift, Easy Rider lift and the Rails/Mini Terrain Park will be set up in a location yet to be determined. Badlands Terrain Park however is closed for season. All operations are subject to change based on weather and conditions. Skiig and snowboarding at Blue will officially be closed as of Monday, April 29th, 2013.

The resort will also have its Monterra Golf Course open on Saturday and Sunday. You can ski and golf on the same day in Ontario this weekend.

The weather forecast for Saturday in the Blue Mountains is calling for rain but skies are expected to clear Saturday evening. Sunday will bring mainly sunny skies and an expected high of 21 degrees.
